Event hosted at Here Now, 132 Perry Street 2B NYC (the former Latse Library space)

The 'Yoga of Bliss' refers to the ancient Buddhist practice of sexual yoga, known as Karmamudra, which uses specific techniques to transform the raw energy of ordinary pleasure, worldly desire, and orgasm into a path of liberation from suffering in our cyclic existence. This practice has been an essential part of the Tibetan religious tradition since the arrival of Buddhism in Tibet. Aiming to inform and empower, this groundbreaking book clears away common misconceptions and offers vital context and instructions through which beginner and advanced students of any gender or sexual orientation can learn to engage with typically destructive and distracting emotions in a skillful and healthy way.

Dr. Nida Chenagtsang was born in Amdo, in Eastern Tibet, and trained in the Tibetan Medicine at the Lhasa Tibetan Medical University. He is Co-Founder and Medical Director of Sorig Khang International (formerly the International Academy for Traditional Tibetan Medicine) and Co-Founder of the International Ngakmang Institute, established to preserve and maintain the Rebkong Ngakpa yogic culture within modern Tibetan society. Dr. Nida has published many articles and books on Sowa Rigpa (Traditional Tibetan Medicine). He has extensively researched ancient Tibetan healing methods, and has earned high acclaim in the East and West for his revival of traditional Tibetan external healing therapies. Dr. Nida trains students in Sowa Rigpa and the Yuthok Nyingthig spiritual tradition in over 40 countries around the world.
