Class held at Balance Arts Center, 151 W 30TH ST, 3RD FL, NEW YORK, NY 10001
Join Dr. Nida Chenagtsang for a daylong teaching and guided practice of Ati Yoga—ancient proven techniques that reveal the present fresh awareness that is free from all confusion and beyond the 'hardness' of dualistic thinking, directly experiencing one’s luminous and vast mind. This day of contemplation and explication are accessible and of benefit to both beginning and advanced meditators of any lineage. Traditionally, Ati Yoga teachings are given orally by the teacher and then contemplated again and again by the student. Dr. Nida has given us excellent written instruction in his SKY Press books about Ati Yoga, the more traditional Mirror of Light, and the pithy and poetic practice guide 'Weapon of Light' (also available in audio with both Tibetan chanted verses and English spoken text) and this teaching offers you the chance to be guided in person by Dr. Nida, ask him questions about your personal practice, and immerse yourself in a day devoted to practice. To support your practice and supplement this teaching, we will have books on hand for purchase or you may order in advance from SKY Press at http://www.skypressbooks.com/shop
As always, we are committed to accessibility in every way. This classroom facility has an elevator and a variety of seating options. There is at least one full work scholarship available for someone who can arrive at 9:15am and stay until 6:30pm to assist in set-up and knock-down of the classroom.
